No Twilight review just yet

I’m not gonna say anything yet about the Twilight movie so you won’t over-expect or, well, “under”-expect. All I’m gonna say right now is if you haven’t read the book yet, well, you SHOULD before even buying that Twilight cinema ticket. Enjoy reading. 

Today is the Philippine National Twilight Day

Today’s the day we finally get to see the flick we’ve been waiting for months/weeks. My sister and her co-workers already bought sure-seat tickets…and they bought one for me too. Good thing they’re such rabid fans…and I get to tag along to their rabid-ness.

I’m already on a countdown. Can’t wait to watch Twilight this 6:30 p.m. I hope my boss would allow me to leave the office early.

I was telling the truth when I told you guys that I’ve moved on. It was the truth last Tuesday. Then he came in yesterday – his arrival was unexpected, because usually he’s only here in the office on Mondays.

Becoming Nurse Betty

Sometimes I fear that I’m just a few crazy neurons away from becoming Nurse Betty. Although nothing tragic has happened to me (the stressor that unleashed Nurse Betty’s inner wacko), I’ve been obsessing over the Twilight series, over Edward Cullen, over Robert Pattinson (the guy portraying Edward in the upcoming movie), that it has, at some instances, becoming uncontrollable.

I’m still reading the e-book “Midnight Sun” (part of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series) in between work…so my co-workers are probably confused why this stupid smile and giggle every now and then. (I’d hit myself in the head if I saw for myself how I looked)

Haaaaay. Still on a daze. I should get used to this giddy feeling. Haaaay.

I try to veer away from book series, because then I’d have to buy the entire collection. I try to veer away from vampire novels because the ex boyfriend already associated himself so much with them (besides…I just don’t really like Anne Rice). Most of all, I try not to bother reading uber romantic novels, because I’m already idealistic as it is and reading them would be unhealthy for me. The last time I picked up an ultra romantic novel was around 15 years ago…at that age I already knew that my psychological make-up isn’t built for such stories.

Sex, drugs, and alcohol can’t be that bad for you…

…if taken in moderation.

Sex lowers cholesterol and reduces stress (duh!), beer can improve cardiovascular function, LSD can prevent alcoholics trying to stay clean from going into relapses…

strange land

For the past two weeks, I’ve been working like mad (leaving the office at around 11 p.m., every frakking day!). Recently though, I discovered this madman’s strange land and I’ve been addicted to his site ever since. So, instead of checking/updating my multiply account just to give me a breather from work, I just check out the works of this genius. Grabe, nakaka-in love. Well, not exactly in love.

You know the feeling you get when you see an extremely good looking guy (or girl) walk in front of you? The tension, the stimulation, and the urge to just kiss the guy (although you won’t)? I get that same sense every time I see works of art that fit my taste (i.e. dark, surreal, bordering to demented).

Yes, I’m back from our (almost) one-week stay in Catanduanes. I wanted to post pictures and give out chronicles about the trip, but without an internet connection in our house, it makes uploading photos a far too complicated task (and I can’t do it here in the office because this frakking PC can’t recognize USBs, digicams, or any technologies beyond the 1990s). That’s why my Catanduanes entries are gonna be delayed.

Right now, I’d like to focus my energies on a different topic. BOYS (eeeewwwww!). Last week (or was that two weeks ago) I finally decided vowed I’ll never get married or go into long-term relationships, EVER. I won’t give up on dating, no, because it’s always nice to hang out with someone you’re mutually attracted with. But I won’t go into anything serious either, no strings attached. Siguro if I’m dating someone tapos lumalim pa yung relationship, then I’m out the door. I’ve had it with serious relationships, feeling ko nakakulong ako…it’s giving me a serious case of claustrophobia. I’d rather grow old and spend my time with my family, my nephews and nieces, my friends, my career, and, of course, my restless feet (I’d be traveling, climbing mountains, exploring, etc. till my aging body can no longer do so).

But I’m making an exception in this single-for-life vow if this guy decides to settle down with me.

I’d definitely say yes, yes, yes. I won’t hesitate. I will let him own me and my time. But…
