Insobriety 2 (or how to get out of an awkward mess)
As I posted earlier, I’ll be discussing how I explained my (drunken) behavior the other night to my co-worker. I’ll just give you a transcription of the conversation.
Warning: This is pretty awkward, methinks.
DC (my co-worker) arrives later than usual.
DC: Uy, kumusta sore eyes? Buti ok na.
Me: (in my usual deadpan expression) thanks.
DC: By the way, your PHONE called up my phone the other night.
Me: (faking frustration and a slight hint of anger) Aysh! Siguro naman binaba mo agad kasi mataas na binabayaran kong bill.
Me: *whew! at least may excuse na ako!*
DC: Oo, kasi–
DC: Pero diba clamshell phone mo?
Me: *fell silent*
Me: So? Ano ngayon kung clamshell? (still trying to maintain a tone of katarayan)
DC: Well, kung clamshell ang phone mo, how can it accidentally dial my number pag hindi mo naman i-open yung mismong clamshell? (a smile started to creep up his lips, which is cute, by the way, despite his baduy, nerdy ass.)
Me: *stumped…didn’t know how to get out of the mess I have put my self in*
DC: Ummm…baka may sira phone mo….?
Me: *yes! a way out…ang gentleman naman nito for helping me escape my own mess*
Me: Oo nga! Kainis na phone to! Ipapa-check ko nga…

Actually, I think nagpaka-gentleman na nga sya, hehe…he probably figured out how embarrassed I was, hehe…
Oo, super baduy…mas marunong pang pumorma ang tatay ko (note: idol ata ng tatay ko magdamit si Lito Atienza).
I must admit, though, that there’s something about him that’s awfully interesting…but I try not to entertain thoughts that would make me think anything beyond that.

you know, there’s such a thing as extreme makeovers..
besides, a fashion statement you can easily upgrade. but when it comes to one’s personality, that’s a different story. mas challenging yun!

Hi Sad. It’s actually in Filipino (because Filipinos read/communicate in English and Filipino) I’ll translate this to English for you one of these days…if I get the time.
